Fairview Triangle School Now on National Register of Historic Places

education, fairview triangle school, national register of historic places,

Congratulations, Fairview Triangle School. The Williamson County school was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in late 2007.

In 1938, local carpenters constructed the small school building, and few buildings like it remain in this part of Middle Tennessee. It is one of the last standing three-room schoolhouses in the area.

According to a release issued by the state of Tennessee, the Triangle School was built as part of Williamson County’s efforts to consolidate many of the area’s one-room schoolhouses. Like many rural schools of the time,
the building was also used for community events and political rallies.
