  • Puckett's Grocery - Leiper's Fork, Tennessee

While shooting for the Williamson County Magazine I headed down to Leiper's Fork to catch a family movie at the open-air theater they set up every other Friday in downtown, only to find that the show was rained out this week.

Rain isn't so good for outdoor movies, but it can make some beautiful evening images. Just at dusk was settling in and the clouds were moving out and the lights came on over the sign at Puckett's Grocery and I was no longer disappointed that the movie was canceled. After I was done shooting I headed inside to catch a trio of local musicians, Eric Brace, Peter Cooper and Kevin Gordon play to a packed house, which in this intimate setting may be fifty lucky souls with seats at tables between the aisles of the grocery store.              - Jeffrey S.
