Williamson County's Franklin Named a "Best Place to Live"
Franklin, TN is one of the best places in America to live, according to CNNMoney.com.
The website's annual list placed Franklin at No.66 of its 100 best places, which compares local economies, major employers, general attractiveness of the area, residents health and quality of life features such as parks, lakes and biking trails.
CNNMoney.com says Franklin has a strong appreciation for history, is home to some of country music's biggest stars and hosts phenomenal festivals, including the annual Main Street Festival.
On a related list, Williamson County ranked 20th in a list of the 25 counties that have experienced the most job growth over the last nine years.
From 2000 to 2009, the "Where the Jobs Are" list says Williamson County had a job growth rate of 29.8%, thanks to its easy access to major cities and Nashville International Airport. The article mentioned major employers Nissan North America and CoolSprings Galleria, as well as the county's low tax rates and well-regarded school systems.
